Deepika and Ranbir welcomed their daughter

Bollywood’s favorite couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, recently welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on September 8, 2024. The couple shared the happy news on their social media, posting a heartfelt message that read, “Welcome baby girl. 8.9.2024.” Fans and celebrities alike quickly flooded their posts with congratulatory messages celebrating this exciting new chapter in their lives.

Deepika along with her mother Ujjwala Padukone entered the Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai on September 7. Pictures of his arrival created excitement on social media. Just two days before the birth, Deepika and Ranveer visited the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai. They pray for a smooth delivery surrounded by family members.

Deepika and Ranveer  love story started in 2013 on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Golio Ki Rasleela Ramleela’. Their chemistry blossomed during filming, leading to a romantic relationship that lasted six years. “Later, Bhansali directed them together in two more films: ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’.”

After years of dating, Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in 2018 in a lavish ceremony at Lake Como, Italy. Celebrating their cultural heritage with traditional South Indian and Anand Karaj ceremonies. They announced their pregnancy in February, sharing a collage of baby items on Instagram that hinted at a September due date.

On the professional front, both Deepika and Ranveer are thriving in their careers. Deepika recently starred in two blockbuster films, ‘Jawaan’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and has more projects lined up including ‘Singham Again’. Meanwhile, Ranveer’s last film, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ also enjoyed great success, and he is set to appear in several upcoming films including ‘Singham Again’.
